  • University Housing (parking for residence halls including Stouffer Place) - Not valid in Yellow, Blue, Red, or Gold Lots
  • Lied Center Only (parking for residence halls on Daisy Hill and Jayhawk Towers only)
  • Yellow (Student Parking) - Students may only park in their designated lots 9 a.m.-3 p.m., but may park in any yellow zone before 9 a.m. or after 3 p.m.
  • Parking Garages - Available by signing up in person at Parking & Transit Office. Must be enrolled to sign up on waiting list.

Parking Tips:

  • Finding parking: As with most larger college campuses, finding available parking spots can be a challenge at certain times of the day. Students arriving for class may have to wait for students getting out of class to leave their spots. Plan accordingly to ensure you have time to both wait for a parking spot and make it to class on time.
  • Parking tickets: Illegal parking is a serious offense at KU. A hold will be placed on your account, preventing you from future enrollment, if you have not paid a parking ticket. If you are illegally parked, they WILL find you.
  • Driving through the central core: A special permit (i.e. not your KU parking permit) is required to drive and park on the central core of campus during the hours that it is restricted. Be sure to stop and wait for an attendant to come out at booths with "permit required" signs if you are unsure whether your parking permit gives you access to this part of campus.
