A former instructor at the Command and General Staff College, Randy Masten has an MA in Russian & Eastern European Studies from KU and a Master's in Military History. He is currently a PhD candidate in History at KU. His research interests primarily lie in U.N. peacekeeping operations, particularly the opations in Somalia (UNOSOM I & II).
