Student Veteran Center
Opening Jan. 17, 2017, the SVC will be located on the third floor of Summerfield Hall and will include a lounge, meeting rooms, the KU Student Veterans of America, support services, and more. A temporary SVC lounge is located on the third floor of the KU Memorial Union.
All veterans new to KU are encouraged to take this new, 2-credit hour fall semester course. This veterans-only class is designed to help you transition to college life and provides you with a foundation to achieve your academic goals.
We work closely with Office of the Registrar to help all students using federal and state veterans’ education benefits. We also provide VA benefits resources to help walk you through the process.
Campus and Community Outreach
In the military, we all recognized that we were only as strong as the community and support we have around us. There are a variety of ways to get involved.
University Career Center (UCC) services for student veterans are available to help develop resumes, and connect to internships and employers.
